Katie, sunset seaside supermodel

My good friend Katie agreed to dress up for me and romp around the beach like a supermodel. Katie knows exactly how to melt a camera with her poses. Seriously awesome. She played around in the surf for the first little bit, then once the sun started setting we set up the flashes and got some really cool dusk shots. Unfortunately for the west coast, Katie moved back to Boston. I think I’ll give her a call this winter and ask if she’s had any great December beach photo since moving… maybe that’ll get her back to southern California. 

 

Kat, secret evening model

My friend Kat agreed to let me take some pictures of her to help me play with my off-camera flash setup. I had no idea she was going to turn into a super fashion model for me! We granted ourselves rooftop access to a local apartment building that has a great view of the Westwood highrises. We tried a few different lighting setups and got some fun results.
